PhD opportunity in ice – ocean interaction
We would like to advertise a funded PhD opportunity at the University of St Andrews, Scotland: The role of ice mélange in ice sheet – ocean interaction.
This project will use a combination of numerical modelling and observations to better constrain submarine melt rates at Greenland’s marine-terminating glaciers and the export of icebergs and meltwater from these glaciers to the ocean.
Further information can be found here: https://www.findaphd.com/search/ProjectDetails.aspx?PJID=82490.
The deadline for applications is 10th February.
The PhD is fully funded by SAGES and the University of St Andrews for UK/EU students. Overseas students are welcome to apply, but should include details of how they will meet the additional costs of overseas fees (approx. £14k per year).
